Powell on Ultimatum
John Powell did the soundtrack for “The Bourne Ultimatum” as well as the first two installments. I first noticed Powell on the opening titles of “The Italian Job”. I like his style of incorporating traditional orchestra and synthesized instruments.
Finished another anime series. Kenichi.
Shijou Saikyou no Deshi Kenichi (History’s Strongest Disciple Kenichi). Great 50-episode series but I actually watched 19 to 50 only. Typical shounen but the character development is good. It was fun to watch, humor was certainly not lacking. The amount of chibi and fan service is certainly generous. Anime series that are too serious bores me.

The Number 23
Good mystery, thriller. The poster-DVD cover gives away a lot about the plot. Excellent performance from Jim Carrey, the guy can indeed act. Along with The Majestic, Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind and The Truman Show, this is one of his best pieces. When I saw the Animal Control truck it reminded me of Ace Ventura. Comedy mixed in on some scenes are fortunately not slapstick. Incidentally I...

The Hills Have Eyes 2
Not bad but the first one was better. Also has some very obvious goofs and mistakes. I find the plot very similar to Alien,Aliens. I bet part 3’s coming out 2008 or 2009.

Dasepo sonyo
Dasepo naughty girls (2006) aka Dasepo sonyo aka Multi-cell girl is one of the weirdest films I have seen. Dancing, singing and cyclops; weird but funny it maintained the feel of the web comic it was based off.
Smokin Aces
Buddy “Aces” Israel is cool name and I love those card tricks. This crime drama details the nastiness of mob life. I find the plot similar to HK triad films but of course this is mafia story. Overall this was good movie. Without the obvious goofs I would have given it a 9/10 rating.

Deja Vu
Overall this is an excellent movie. Mainly because of the cinematography, especially the opening sequence and the peek at the past sequences. What messed it up was timeline vs. different dimension angle and subsequently the ending. “Back to the Future” had the time travel thing more coherent if not right in scientific terms. There were also unanswered questions which would extend this...

Jericho 19-22-end?
On episodes 19,20 it is discovered that New Bern has been brewing callous plans against our dear town Jericho. Phil Constantino and his town declares war on Jericho and starts the invasion. On episode 22 we uncover some things about the new government and the skirmish between Jericho and New Bern continues. Sadly CBS cancels the show. No resolution to all the questions. Totally fcked up.
Jason Statham cranking
“Crank” is the absolute shit. Wicked camera work plus non-stop heart pounding action, pun intended you have to watch to get it. I wish most of the actions films are this good. Combined humor and action couldn’t be better. Jason was excellent on this film. I think nobody could have pulled it better than him.
The young Hannibal Lecter
So Hannibal was a sword wielding mean killing machine in his younger days. “Hannibal Rising” chronicles how the brilliant monster came to be. From his formative years to his first kill and how he exacts his kind of revenge. Definitely the top anti-hero if not the villain.

Dearly Devoted Dexter
Started reading “Dearly Devoted Dexter” by Jeff Lindsay. I went off from the Dexter TV series straight to the DDevotedD book. The TV series was based on the first book “Darkly Dreaming Dexter” which I haven’t read. Apparently after reading the first few chapters there are differences between the novel and the TV adaptation. About the TV series; reading through, I...

I always had to write information on craps of paper. Like yesterday I wrote some account numbers on a piece of paper I found lying around. I had to choose between them, but I eventually chose hPDA...
Jericho 16,17,18 Naruto 13 Bleach 124,125
Jericho is getting interesting again after a slow episode (15). Hawkins is found out by Jake. Roger got kicked out of town. Want to see how Hawkins handles the boss (Valente). Naruto and team fights Itachi. Rock and team fights the shark man, forgot his name. On Bleach, Ichigo is now a Vizard after defeating and taming the Hollow within.

Many would cringe on the sight of genitals, sex and gay people having a threesome. But if you are one of the very few that can get past these you will certainly absorb the incredible depth in this movie. Saw III
Not for the weak of heart and stomach. You will see ground rotting pig, twisted arms, legs and neck etc. I must say Jigsaw is one of the greatest villains on film but still falls short compared to Hannibal for the top place. Good plot twists but nothing to be crazy about.
